Australia’s F-35A fleet can deploy on operations after Initial Operational Capability (IOC) was officially achieved on Dec. 28, 2020. For the last two years, the F-35A fleet has been rigorously tested to assess aircraft and system performance. The dedication shown by the F-35 JPO leadership and staff enabled the delivery of the elements required to support Australia's IOC declaration. Even under trying conditions, local and international industry partners worked tirelessly to support the deliveries.
