The UK Royal Air Force (RAF) kicked off Exercise Crimson Warrior, the largest military exercise to be run by the RAF in the United Kingdom for over a decade, in late October. Lasting a few weeks, Crimson Warrior provides realistic combat training and will include land based scenarios for the F-35Bs and helicopters that will form the 2021 UK Carrier Strike Group Air Wing. Next year, the Carrier Strike Group Air Wing will officially deploy with the HMS Queen Elizabeth. This exercise also enables the further development of UK combat air 5th and 4th generation interoperability with Typhoons and Lakenheath-based U.S. Air Force F-15s.(Read more...)
