  • Luke Air Force Base Hosts First F-35 Partner Intelligence Formal Training Unit Class
  • F-35 unites! During recent operations in the European region, various F-35 operators noticed that not all issues, specifically regarding intelligence, were being fully accounted for and given further attention.  

    The F-35 is the dominant fighter jet of not just the U.S. but also of its eight partner nations that includes NATO and non-NATO allies, totaling more than a dozen global operators. 

    One of the most important background elements is intelligence support. During combat, if F-35 allies learn about enemy capabilities or weaknesses, the need to share the knowledge is crucial to mission success. 

    An F-35 Partner Intelligence Formal Training Unit class was developed to address it.  Five allied nation military personnel successfully graduated from the first official F-35 Partner Intelligence Formal Training Unit class, November 10, 2022, at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona.
