  • Exercise Poseidon’s Rage 2022 Concludes in Mediterranean
  • F-35 warfighters from the 48th Fighter Wing out of Royal Air Force Lakenheath, England, operated from Souda Air Base, Greece for Exercise Poseidon’s Rage (PR22) July 11-22. This is the second iteration of Exercise Poseidon’s Rage but the first one to feature the F-35. 

    PR22 marks the first concurrent deployment of fourth and fifth-generation fighter squadrons by U.S. Air Forces in Europe to the same forward operating location, showcasing the ability to conduct large force employment exercises and strengthening the NATO alliance. This annual multinational training event is designed to bolster readiness between the United States Air Force and the Hellenic Air Force.  

    PR22 focuses on the partnership between the U.S. Air Force and Hellenic Air Force in order to validate and unite F-35 and F-15E deployment capabilities.
