  • Sentry Savannah 2022 Allows F-35s to Use Agile Combat Employment Concept
  • Sentry Savannah 2022 is the Air National Guard’s premier counter air exercise for 4th and 5th generation fighters that displays the nation's combat aircraft readiness. For two weeks, this exercise was hosted at the Air Force Combat Readiness Training Center in Savannah, Georgia. This is the first year the 419th Fighter Wing has participated in the event with its F-35s, which it will use to validate its deployment model known as Agile Combat Employment. Reservists at Sentry Savannah are also practicing the employment of the recently launched Multi-Capable Airman concept, where members not only gain proficiency in their own job, but also learn the roles of others in order to be better prepared to complete the mission.

The reserve 419th Fighter Wing and active duty 388th Fighter Wing fly and maintain the fleet in a Total Force partnership that capitalizes on the strengths of both their components. They are the Air Force's first combat capable units to fly and deploy the F-35.

The confidence and knowledge gained during exercises such as Sentry Savannah is invaluable to Reserve Airmen and their mission. 419th validates Agile Combat Employment during Sentry Savannah > Air Force Reserve Command > News Article (af.mil)
