  • Red Flag 2022 Kicks Off Combat Training At Nellis Air Force Base
  • Red Flag 2022 is here! For three weeks, the 388th Fighter Wing at Hill Air Force Base leads the charge at the combat scenario exercises with the participation of 12 F-35As. Red Flag 22-1 is a unique exercise because it demonstrates the most cutting edge-tactical integration of air power from the U.S. and its primary allies, the U.K. and Australia. In its 47th year, Red Flag was created to help the Air Force train by being exposed to realistic, representative and relevant experiences. It was a drill initially designed to help pilots survive and has transformed into a multidomain, simulated war with air, space, cyber and intelligence components aligned to the National Defense Strategy - with the F-35A being a key component.
