The F-35 unites military assets and capabilities around the world in the air, on land, and at sea to preserve worldwide peace and security. For the last six months, the F-35Bs of U.S. Marine Corps’ VMFA-211 squadron "Wake Island Avengers" trained and patrolled side-by-side with the British F-35Bs of 617 Squadron "Dambusters", marking the return of the U.K. Carrier Strike Group. These warfighters carried out 1,278 sorties, flew more than 2,200 hours, participated in exercises with more than ten partner nations and allies, and conducted 44 combat missions in support of Operation Inherent Resolve.
