- Allied Carrier Strike Groups Operate in Indo-Pacific United by F-35

An alliance of carrier strike groups, united by the F-35, are working together in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific. The integrated at-sea operations brought together more than 15,000 Sailors across six nations and demonstrates the U.S. Navy’s ability to work closely with its unmatched network of partnerships. Joining the United States, the United Kingdom and Japan carried out several training and operations in October. As part of those operations, the U.K.'s 617 Squadron F-35Bs aboard the HMS Queen Elizabeth conducted Air-to-Air Refueling from a U.S. Navy F/A-18E Super Hornet for the first time in a showcase of interoperability. The F/A-18Es support the USS Carl Vinson and USS Ronald Reagan. The presence of F-35 partners in the Indo-Pacific represents the continued security provided by the fifth generation joint strike fighter. (Read more...)
