- F-135 Engine Depot Officially Opens in Netherlands

The Netherlands has formally opened its testing facilities for maintenance of the F-35 engine, the first engine depot outside of the U.S. The facility at Woensdrecht airbase opened on October 1 and will maintain the engines of the European and Israeli F-35 fleets. It will directly support warfighters, and help to create a faster, smarter, global sustainment strategy. The site is one of four F-35 engine maintenance locations being established to support the Pratt & Whitney F-135 engine.
