Time savings mean cost savings in the world of the F-35. The 56th Maintenance Group Continuous Improvement and Innovation office at Luke Air Force Base, Arizona, developed the F-35A communication cable rebuild and class tester box, allowing Airmen to rebuild F-35 communication cables at the unit level – skipping the process of sending it out to the Air Force Repair Enhancement Program to be fixed which created delays.
